Dua Lipa is an English singer and songwriter from London who records for Warner Records.[1][2] She has won three Grammy Awards: Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording, for 'Electricity' with Silk City, in 2019, and Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Future Nostalgia' in 2021.[1]

Radical Optimism and its tour

Her third album, 'Radical Optimism', came out on 3 May 2024.[2] It went to No. 1 in the UK and opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 83,000 equivalent album units.[3][4] Its singles 'Houdini', 'Training Season' and 'Illusion' peaked at Nos. 11, 27 and 43 on the Billboard Hot 100.[5] The Radical Optimism Tour began in November 2024 and ended on 5 December 2025 in Mexico City.[5] According to Billboard Boxscore it grossed more than $141 million from 1.2 million tickets over 59 shows, the third biggest tour by a pop star in 2025.[4] On 21 May 2026 she put 'Live From Mexico', a concert film of her Mexico City shows, on YouTube for free, and a 21-track live album followed the next day; it includes a cover of Maná's 'Oye Mi Amor' sung with Fher Olvera.[4]

'Training Season' comes back

'Training Season' first peaked at No. 4 in the UK in 2024.[6] In late August 2026 a social media trend in which fans 'manifest' their hopes to the song, which Her Campus illustrated with TikTok posts, sent it back up the charts.[8][9] Lipa has said she wrote it before she met her partner, Callum Turner, and that it was almost like a manifestation.[8][13] It re-entered the UK chart at No. 53 on the chart dated 3 September, rose 35 places to No. 18 a week later, and stood at No. 5 on the charts dated 24 September and 1 October.[6][7] On the Billboard Global 200 it reached a new best of No. 3 on the chart dated 26 September, and No. 2 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S.[10] A five-track EP of versions, 'Training Season's Over', came out on 28 August.[11]

The Royal Albert Hall version

Much of the new attention went to a live recording. Her performance of the song at the Royal Albert Hall, filmed for the 2024 television special 'An Evening with Dua Lipa', had 138.8 million YouTube views on 21 September 2026, 39.4 million more than the music video.[12] That day the live recording was in Shazam's top 50 in 54 of the 70 countries we checked, and the studio recording was in none, as we reported in Training Season.[12] The live take opens the 'Training Season's Over' EP, which also has versions recorded in Mexico City and for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.[11]

What comes next

On 31 August 2026 she posted photos from a recording studio with the producer Greg Kurstin, the poet and singer Mustafa and the songwriter Ali Tamposi. Billboard read them as sessions for her fourth album; her spokesperson had not answered its request to confirm that.[5] With her Service95 Book Club she is curating the London Literature Festival at the Southbank Centre from 20 October to 1 November 2026, where she is due to talk with Zadie Smith and Mustafa on 24 October and with Patti Smith on 25 October.[14]
