Corrections, story tips, account questions, licensing and permission requests all go to the same desk, because there is one editor and no switchboard. Everything sent is read.
mymy is run by one person in the Republic of Korea, alongside other work, so a reply usually takes a day or two and sometimes longer. A message about something factually wrong in a published piece is looked at first.
Corrections
If something in a piece is wrong, tell us which piece and which line. Numbers are the most useful thing to report: chart positions, view counts, release dates and country counts all move, and a figure that was right when it was published may not be right now.
What happens then: the figure is checked against the source it came from. If it was wrong, the piece is corrected and the correction is printed on the piece itself, dated, saying what it used to say. Nothing is quietly edited and nothing is deleted to make a mistake disappear. If the piece turns out to be right, you get an answer explaining where the number came from.
Story tips
A song that is charting somewhere we are not looking is the most welcome message we get. Send the song, the artist and the country. We cannot promise to write about it: a piece is only written when there is something to explain and the facts can be checked.
Using our work
Quoting a sentence or two with a link back needs no permission. Anything more than that, including republishing a piece in full or translating it, needs a note here first. Photographs credited to someone else are theirs, not ours to license.
Your account
Forum accounts can be deleted by their owner from the account page, without asking anyone. Write here if that fails, if you want a copy of what is stored about you, or to appeal a moderator’s decision. The details are in the privacy policy.
