This policy covers mymy. It describes what the service collects, who else handles that data, and what you can switch off.

Who runs this site

Operator: legal or trading name. Contact: email address. Data protection contact: name and email.

Reading without an account

You can read every published story without signing in. Our host records standard server logs when you request a page, including IP address, browser user agent, and the URL requested. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse.

If you create an account

• Account details: your email address and display name.
• Listening history: which tracks you played and when, so the mood picker improves and so we can build aggregate stories.
• Mood selections you make with the picker.

Stories built on listening data are always aggregated. We do not publish anything that identifies an individual reader.

Advertising

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
• You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Embedded video

Playback runs through the YouTube embedded player. When a player loads, YouTube receives your request and may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. We do not control those cookies.

Who processes your data

• Vercel, for hosting and server logs.
• Supabase, for account records and listening history.
• Google, for advertising and for the embedded video player.

These providers operate outside your country in most cases, so account data and log data are transferred and stored abroad.

How long we keep things

Account records are kept until you delete the account. Listening history is kept for retention period. Server logs are kept for retention period.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything wrong.
• Delete your account, which removes your account record and listening history.
• Turn off personalised advertising using the links above.

Requests go to email address.

Children

mymy is not directed at children under minimum age, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top and say what changed.
