MEOMURU (Korean: 머무르) is a South Korean AI music artist whose releases used vocals generated with Suno, an AI music service.[1] The name belongs to a project of the songwriting team Glory Wave; its records were made by Glory Wave Sound and distributed by OGQ Blending.[1][5][6] Its single 'The Adult I Dreamed Of', released in June 2026, reached No. 3 on Melon's TOP100 in October 2026.[7][8]
## Career
Bugs listed MEOMURU as a male solo act from South Korea that debuted in 2026, and dated its first single, 'Comma', to 5 May 2026.[2] Apple Music gave three songs from the single 'Learning to Hold Myself' earlier dates, in March and April 2026.[14][15][16] Between May and August 2026 the act released seven digital singles with twelve songs in all.[2]
'The Adult I Dreamed Of' was released on 23 June 2026, and a lyric video went up on the MEOMURU YouTube channel the same day.[1][3] The video entered YouTube's daily music video chart for South Korea on 27 July 2026.[12] The song reached No. 2 on YouTube's weekly Top Songs chart for South Korea in the week ending 8 October 2026,[9] No. 13 on Circle Chart's weekly digital chart for 4 to 10 October 2026,[5] and No. 3 on Melon's TOP100 on 13 October 2026.[8] mymy covered that climb in [its article on 'The Adult I Dreamed Of'](/trends/the-adult-i-dreamed-of-meomuru).
## Production and AI use
Each of MEOMURU's seven singles carried a note that its vocals were generated with Suno AI technology and that the planning, lyrics and overall production direction were done by the artist.[1][17][18][19][20][21][22] In October 2026 the YouTube channel described AI as a modern instrument and a creative partner: melodies and vocals were shaped through AI, and MEOMURU added lyrics, concept, arrangement, production and sound direction.[4] YouTube showed a 'Made with AI' label on the video of 'The Adult I Dreamed Of'.[3] Bugs and Genie credited the lyrics, music and arrangement to MEOMURU.[13][11]
Kyunghyang Shinmun published a written interview with Glory Wave on 16 October 2026. The paper described MEOMURU as a project Glory Wave started to step away from its usual way of working and make music freely, and described Glory Wave as the songwriters Lee Yong-seok (이용석) and Choi Seong-hyeok (최성혁), who had worked with singers including Gilgu Bonggu and Hwang Chi-yeul for more than ten years. The paper reported that they wrote the lyrics themselves, while the basic composition and the singing came from Suno and were revised over several rounds.[6]

## Royalties
Kyunghyang Shinmun reported that Glory Wave had not registered MEOMURU's songs with the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), so it did not collect standard songwriting royalties, and that it received the revenue from distribution through its distributor.[6] KOMCA published criteria for registering works made with AI assistance in August 2026 and withdrew them 22 days later.[7]
