Who Is DA TI? The 'Take Me There' Singer Is a Georgian Living in Budapest
Who is DA TI? A singer from Georgia who lives in Budapest and records for Warner. 'Take Me There', out in April, is in Shazam's top 50 in 12 countries.
Min Key,
DA TI is a singer from Georgia who lives in Budapest. His song 'Take Me There' came out on 3 April 2026, and six months later it is in the top 50 of Shazam's charts in 12 countries, from Greece to Kazakhstan. His songwriting credits name Davit Tsereteli. He has not given his age, and there is no English Wikipedia article about him.
Those gaps are what listeners keep asking about: where he is from, whether DA TI is his real name, and whether he is AI. We answered them from his own channels, his record credits and the venue that booked him, all checked on 15 October 2026.

Where is DA TI from?
Dürer Kert, a Budapest music venue, has him on its calendar for 26 October and lists him as a singer from Georgia who now lives in Budapest. It bills the night as his first concert in Hungary, and the listing shows it sold out. The British music site Culture Fix, writing about his single '12345' in September, said he grew up in Georgia and later settled in Budapest for his music. His YouTube channel, opened on 12 September 2024, gives Hungary as its country.
Budapest seems to show up in his videos as well. In the lyric video for 'Take Me There' he films himself from below with a phone as he crosses a green steel bridge with bird statues on its pillars that looks like Budapest's Liberty Bridge, and in the video for 'Call Me Back Tonight' the same handheld camera follows him into a hall lit by rows of ceiling panels.
Is DA TI his real name?
DA TI is the name he performs under. The writer credits on his own releases list Davit Tsereteli: Deezer shows the name on all four songs we checked, from 'Run Like Forrest Gump' in January 2025 to '12345' in September 2026, with Sander de Bie on 'Take Me There', 'Call Me Back Tonight' and '12345' and Tamás Radics on the first single. We found nothing in which he explains the stage name.
Is DA TI AI?
Nothing we found says so, and several things point to a person who performs. YouTube shows a 'Made with AI' note in a video's description when the video has been marked as made with AI. We opened all 14 videos on the Videos tab of his channel on 15 October and none has the note. The same check finds it on the videos of Kimo Sounds and Thiago Navarro Music, though not every AI video carries it.
In July he posted an acoustic version of 'Take Me There' as a video, sung straight to the camera in a plain room while he plays guitar; it had 247,076 views on 15 October, and an acoustic version came out as a single in August. He plays Budapest on 26 October, his first show in Hungary and sold out, as part of the European tour his own page announces for October and November. Since July 2025 his singles have come out on Warner Records, according to Deezer.
We think the question comes from how little there is to go on. We found no interview and no stated age, and the three videos we looked at look like phone-camera footage of himself, the two song videos with the words on screen. Shazam's charts have lifted several singers like that this year, and our piece on who Imael Angel is went through the same questions. For DA TI, everything we found points to a real person.
'Take Me There' on Shazam, from Greece to Kazakhstan
'Take Me There' does far better on Shazam than on the streaming charts. Since 2 October it has been in the top 50 of 10 to 14 national Shazam charts on each day our radar read them: by 15 October it stood at No. 2 in Greece, No. 8 in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, No. 9 in Russia and No. 10 in Ukraine, with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Germany, Finland, Uzbekistan, Romania and Türkiye further down. Greece has had it at No. 2 every day since 8 October.
On Spotify's daily charts its best places are No. 46 in Greece, No. 49 in Cyprus and No. 94 in Ukraine, according to kworb.net, which logs those charts. It had 24,924,219 Spotify streams by 8 October and was adding about 165,000 a day at that point. That is close to half of all his Spotify streams, 55,313,336 across 12 tracks; 'Call Me Back Tonight' comes next with 10,217,082. On YouTube the lyric video had 23,784,415 views on 15 October.
Next to the English questions, Google suggests 'da ti take me there' with перевод, Russian for translation, and with 'prevod na srpski', Serbian for translation into Serbian: searches from listeners who want the words in their own language.
'Take Me There' lyrics meaning: a plea to run away
In 'Take Me There' he asks to run away with her: “Take me there, where no one's gonna find us”, to a place with only the two of them and the stars. The first verse walks along a river and asks her to check her phone; the second says he wants to love her even when he does not feel right, and wants a life with her by his side. The bridge says this love keeps him going and asks to hold her when things fall apart. The last half minute repeats one idea, that there is nobody else like her, nine times over.
He starts singing about 20 seconds in, over what our software hears as choir and plucked guitar. The bridge, from 1:57, pulls the sound back; the choruses after it are the loudest part of the track, and the software's guesses there turn to rock.
DA TI's songs before and after 'Take Me There'
Before 'Take Me There', Deezer lists seven singles, one of them a remix, and the EP DATIVERSE, the first in January 2025. Two releases have followed: the acoustic version in August and '12345' on 4 September. That answers most of what people search for: he is a Georgian singer in Budapest, credited as Davit Tsereteli, with a record deal, a tour and no AI tag on the videos we checked. Our prediction is about staying power: on 15 November, 'Take Me There' will still be in the top 50 of at least 10 national Shazam charts.
About the data
- Shazam places come from our radar's daily reading of each country's Shazam chart, 2 to 15 October 2026. Spotify streams and chart peaks come from kworb.net's pages for DA TI, last updated 8 October. YouTube views, the channel's start date and country, and the AI notes are as YouTube's page data gave them on 15 October; the AI check opened each of the 14 videos on the channel's Videos tab and looked for the 'Made with AI' note, and we ran the same check on videos we know carry it. Release dates, labels and writing credits are Deezer's. The Budapest date is from the Dürer Kert listing, read on 15 October, and the tour months from DA TI's own tour page.
- The hook is the only lyric line we quote, taken from the timed lyric on lrclib.net; the meaning section is paraphrase. The sound notes are software guesses from the lyric video's audio, which we deleted afterwards. Google's suggestions were read in English for the United States on 15 October. We did not look for anything about his private life.
