Kimo Sounds

Kimo Sounds is the name on a YouTube channel set up in late April 2026 and on a streaming catalogue that began on 19 May 2026 with 'Rise Slow', released on the label Rendezvous Sound.^[4][2] By 27 September 2026, Deezer listed 163 releases under the name.^[3]

What the channel says about itself

The description under the 'Rise Slow' video ends with the line 'AI-assisted music creation', and YouTube's 'How this was made' panel on the same page says 'Made with AI', the label an uploader sets when sounds or visuals were altered or generated.^[1] When mymy checked all 120 public videos on the channel on 23 September 2026, the panel was on 111 of them and the written line on 56, all posted between 7 May and 26 June; none of the 55 videos posted since 1 July carried the line, though 53 of them still carried the panel.^[5]

The channel lists Morocco as its country and gives a business email address as its only contact. In its replies under the video it writes in the first person, about 'my music' and 'my creation'.^[4][5] No name, face or interview has been published, and this page does not guess at who is behind the account.

Music

The catalogue grew faster than almost any on the charts. Deezer showed 161 Kimo Sounds releases between 19 May and 18 September 2026, 160 singles and one EP: 25 in the last 13 days of May, 47 in June, 66 in July, 16 in August and 7 in September to that date, with 11 on 11 July and 13 on 29 July alone. Thirty-two titles appear twice, on different dates.^[5][3]

'Rise Slow' itself exists in four versions under the name: the original (3 minutes 54 seconds), a bass-boosted version on 27 May, a 'Rise Sloww' with an extra w on 30 July that runs 4:19 under a different label name, and an 'Alok Remix' on 21 August that runs 2:32.^[2][3][5] The remix's credit is the one thing the streaming services disagree on: Spotify links the Alok name to the Brazilian DJ's profile, Deezer to a second Alok page, and the DJ has not commented.^[5]

The success is narrow. On 23 September 2026 the channel's 120 videos had 92.4 million views between them; the original 'Rise Slow' video had 28.9 million and the bass-boosted one 8.2 million, 40 percent of the total together, and the next biggest, 'Pieces Of Me', had 6.1 million.^[5]

Charts

On 23 September 2026, 'Rise Slow' was No. 15 on Shazam's global chart and in the top 50 of 29 of the 70 country charts Shazam publishes: No. 3 in Portugal and in Russia, No. 5 in Switzerland, No. 7 in Mexico, No. 8 in Germany and No. 56 in the United Kingdom, and absent from the United States top 200. The only other Kimo Sounds song on any Shazam country chart that day was 'Make It Spectacular', in the top 200 of eight countries and no higher than No. 68, in Israel.^[5]

Who listens

Of the 40 comments YouTube ranked first under the 'Rise Slow' video on 23 September 2026, 12 gave the writer's age, every one between 50 and 83. Four mentioned that the music is made with AI, and none of the four objected. Four said where they first heard it: Instagram twice, TikTok and Facebook once each.^[5] mymy's piece on the song, a song against shortcuts made at a pace of one release every day, sets the lyric beside the release list.
