Shakira is a Colombian singer and songwriter.[23][27][31] In 2026 she sang the FIFA World Cup's official song, 'Dai Dai', with the Nigerian star Burna Boy, and took her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to a 12-night residency in Madrid.[1][22]

## 'Dai Dai'

The song came out in mid-May.[1] She and Burna Boy sang it at the opening ceremony at Mexico City's Estadio Azteca on 11 June, and on 19 July she played the first halftime show at a World Cup final, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with Madonna, [BTS](/wiki/bts) and Justin Bieber.[2][3][4]

It was the first official World Cup song to top the Billboard Global 200, with seven weeks at No. 1 between July and early September, and it led the Global Excl. U.S. chart for ten weeks in a row.[4][5] It peaked at No. 17 on the Hot 100 dated 1 August and spent five weeks at No. 2 in the UK.[6][7] On 19 September [a mymy count](/trends/dai-dai-shakira-burna-boy) found it No. 1 on YouTube's weekly chart in 19 countries.[9]

## Other releases

'Zoo', written with Ed Sheeran and Blake Slatkin for Disney's 'Zootopia 2', came out in October 2025.[10][11] In 2026 she released 'Algo Tú' with the Colombian singer Beéle in March and sang in Portuguese on Anitta's 'Choka Choka' in April.[12][13] 'Agua', a merengue duet with Maluma, came out on 17 September.[14][15]

## Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour

The tour opened in Brazil on 11 February 2025.[16][17] By late January 2026 it had grossed $421.6 million from 3.3 million tickets, the highest gross ever for a tour by a Latin artist and a Guinness World Record.[16][17] It also took in free shows at Mexico City's Zócalo on 1 March 2026, for 400,000 people by the city government's count, and on Copacabana Beach on 2 May, where Rio de Janeiro's mayor put the crowd at 2 million.[18][19][20][21]

## Madrid residency

The residency runs for 12 nights from 18 September to 11 October 2026 at Estadio Shakira, a temporary stadium at the Iberdrola Music site, and marks her first shows in Spain in eight years and the tour's only European stop.[22][23][24] About 165,000 people came over the opening weekend, when Laura Pausini joined her for 'Antología'.[24] On 18 October she is due to open the 51,000-seat Bishkek Arena in Kyrgyzstan.[25][26]

## Awards

At the Grammy Awards on 2 February 2025, 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' won Best Latin Pop Album, her fourth Grammy.[27][28] At the Billboard Latin Music Awards on 23 October 2025 she won Tour of the Year, Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo, and Latin Pop Song of the Year for 'Soltera'.[29][30] At the Latin Grammys on 13 November 2025, 'Soltera' lost Best Pop Song to CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso's 'El Día del Amigo'.[31][32]

At the MTV Video Music Awards on 27 September 2026, 'Dai Dai' lost Best Collaboration to Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's 'Bring Your Love' and Best Latin to Bad Bunny's 'NUEVAYoL'.[33][34] She is a finalist in five categories, among them Tour of the Year, at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami on 22 October 2026.[35][36]
