Rise Slow

'Rise Slow' went up on YouTube on 8 May 2026 and reached the streaming services on 19 May, on the label Rendezvous Sound, at 3 minutes 54 seconds.[1][2][5] Three more versions followed under the Kimo Sounds name: a bass-boosted version on 27 May, a 'Rise Sloww' with an extra w on 30 July that runs 4:19, and an 'Alok Remix' on 21 August that runs 2:32.[3][5] The video's description ends with the line 'AI-assisted music creation', and YouTube's 'How this was made' panel on the page says 'Made with AI'.[1]

## What it says

The lyric spends about four minutes making one point: getting somewhere slowly, without shortcuts. It opens on the title, sung twice, then humming. A first verse set in the dark describes effort nobody witnessed; a short list of refusals follows, not quick, not noisy, not performed for an audience. The chorus is the thesis: the climb is slow but sure, old wounds count as gains, and the wait was the price of arriving. A bridge turns it into a rule about everyone else, that whoever climbs fast comes down as fast, and the last chorus repeats the word 'belong' four times. In plain English, 'rise slow' is a shortened 'rise slowly'.[5] The words themselves are on the streaming services and are not reproduced here.

## Sound

mymy measured the official upload at 123 beats per minute, an ordinary deep house pace. After a quieter first half-minute the level stays near full; it falls to a little over half once, between about 2:25 and 2:54, and comes back for the final choruses.[5]

## Charts and reach

On 23 September 2026, more than four months after release, 'Rise Slow' was No. 15 on Shazam's global chart and in the top 50 of 29 of the 70 country charts Shazam publishes, with No. 3 in Portugal and Russia, No. 5 in Switzerland, No. 7 in Mexico, No. 8 in Germany and No. 56 in the United Kingdom; it was not in the United States top 200. The original video had 28.9 million views that day and the bass-boosted upload 8.2 million.[5] The title has since become crowded: Apple Music's catalogue search returned 55 other artist names with a song called 'Rise Slow' released after 19 May 2026, against 14 before it.[5]
